HOW DOES YOUR REHABILITATION PROGRAM RATE??
Rehabilitation is a key factor to improving quality of life for seniors and is proving a much more important component of senior health and longevity. The need for rehab can come in a split second. Falls, accidents, stroke, illness or any number of events can suddenly stimulate the need for rehab. Decades ago a trip to a skilled nursing community conjoured up negative emotions. In today’s world, skilled nursing communities are playing an ever increasing role in rehabilitation. Today skilled rehab care greatly enhances a person’s ability to get back home.
The Continental Care Center at Seymour puts emphasis on developing short-term rehabilitation programs combined with therapy services that are offered 6 days a week. Elizabeth Owens (Administrator) at CCCS states, “No longer does a trip to a nursing community mean you won’t be going home. The fact is that rehabilitation to get people home is often required and significantly improves the health and well being of the client”.
The Continental Care Center at Seymour Rehabilitation program consists of six (6) trained, experienced therapists and assistants dedicated to improving the lives of residents. The Center employees a Rehabilitation Nurse to oversee the program and two (2) Rehabilitation Aides to coordinate and participate in group rehab sessions, one-on-one rehab sessions, passive range of motion rehab sessions, active range of motion rehab sessions, and a multitude of other rehabilitation activities. Each resident has a restorative plan of care that is reviewed weekly for modifications.
Elanna Fultz (Director of Nursing) is driving the rehabilitation initiative at The Continental Care Center at Seymour and states, “The opportunities for our residents in our Rehabilitation program are endless. We like to have fun and involve all staff and residents in their journey to improving quality of life.” Elizabeth Owens added saying, “A good well rounded rehabilitation program composed of quality staff can achieve remarkable outcomes. We are committed to rehabilitation and returning our residents back to their homes as soon as practical”.
The dedication that the Management team provides is driving a huge increase in testimonials from past clients such as these:
“We can never thank each one of you enough for your care and friendliness during Richards’ stay. We were treated just like family. Because of your exemplary rehabilitation program and kind care Richard was able to return home.”
Love Richard and Dickie Bartlett
“The Continental Care Center at Seymour staff provides outstanding rehabilitation services. Because of staff understanding of individual therapy needs and staff providing education to the family on exercises and expected outcomes we were able to work together and successfully return John home. We love to visit the Center”.John and Lois Cridlebaugh
CCCS requires teamwork and personal involvement in the care of a resident which creates a noticeable supportive, trusting, compassionate, and caring environment. Burch shared, Owner of CCCS, “The most positive things at CCCS have to do with our staff. They are the most caring and motivated in the region.” Without question, Owens, Fultz, and Company have developed a leading edge care concept regarding rehabilitation and senior care.
